When dismantling any phone, great care should be taken to ensure that no damage is caused to any of the parts. Rough handling may result in severe damage of many parts, and if proper anti-static procedures are not followed, electrostatic damage may result in any electronic component.
Before commencing, it is recommended that the correct tools are purchased for the job in hand - at the very least, you will require a Torx T6 screwdriver.
Step 1. Press the release button to begin removal of the front fascia.
Step 2. Release the two side clips and lift the fascia away.
Step 3. Press the release button (1) and remove the battery cover in the direction shown by (2).
Step 4. Protect the camera lens with a film or similar.
Step 5. Remove the six Torx T6 screws in the order shown below and store them safely.
Step 6. Lift the main circuit board and user interface module out of the chassis.
Step 7. Use a thin (blunt) plastic shim to open the connector.
Step 8. Separate the user interface module from the main circuit board taking care not to damage the connector.
Step 9. Use your shim to release the clips on each side of the shielding.
Step 10. Now lift the shield and gasket away.
Step 11. Protect the LCD screen with a film or similar.
Step 12. Use your shim to release the retaining clips on the user interface module shielding.
Step 13. Lift the shielding away.
Step 14. Remove the user interface circuit board.
Step 15. The speaker is held in place with double sided tape which will most likely have to be replaced if removed.
Step 16. The aerial should simply drop out of the chassis.
Step 17. Remove the infra red window.
Step 18. Use tweezers to lift the vibra motor out of the chassis.
Step 19. Use a flat bladed screwdriver to release the connector retainer.
Step 20. The system connector and the retainer should now simply drop out of the chassis.
Step 21. Use tweezers to remove the microphone.
Step 22. Take acre not to damage the connecting pins when releasing the battery connector.
Step 23. Now remove the power button.
Step 24. Reassembly is a simple reversal of the above steps taking extra time to ensure that everything works as it should, and that you have caused no damage whilst inside the handset
