Step 1. Press in the back cover release button (1), and remove the back cover by sliding it in the direction shown by (2).
Step 2. Remove the front fascia starting at the base of the phone.
Step 3. Protect the screen by pacing a protective film on the LCD.
Step 4. Your next step is to remove the six Torx T6 screws in the order indicated below.
Step 5. The screen and keypad assembly can now be removed from the phone. Note that the screen connector is at the top of right of the screen and simply unplugs, and also that the keypad is attached with double sided tape that should not be touched.
Step 6. Separate the screen by simply pushing it out of the shield using a clean cloth, taking care to protect the keypad tape.
Step 7. Now that the screen is removed, if possible protect it using a plastic film.
Step 8. Remove the earpiece taking careful note of the guidance pin for reassembly.
Step 9. The shielding is attached to the main chassis by simple clips which can be released by gently levering the sides of the main chassis apart and lifting the shielding up and away.
Step 10. The power button simply lifts out of the main chassis.
Step 11. The aerial can be removed by unclipping it at the base point indicated below, and then it should be a simple matter of lifting it out of the chassis.
Step 12. The vibra motor is held in place by friction and can be easily lifted out of the phone.
Step 13. Use a pair of tweezers to remove the microphone assembly.
Step 14. Tweezers can again be used to remove the charging point. Alternatively, a Nokia charger can be used to give additional leverage, but please ensure that the charger is disconnected from the wall socket if using this approach.
Step 15. Use a small straight bladed screwdriver as a lever to remove the release spring.
Step 16. With the release spring removed, the release button will simply fall out of the chassis.
Step 17. Now to remove the SIM cover. Open the cover as shown in the first picture below, and then gently stretch one side of the chassis which will allow you to remove the SIM cover.
Step 18. Reassembly is a simple reversal of the above steps taking extra time to ensure that everything works as it should, and that you have caused no damage whilst inside the handset.
